FarmVille: Technical Issues (July 17th, 2010)

Today there have been various messages above the FarmVille game screen, such as:

“We are aware of FarmVille loading issues and are working for a resolution”

or the most recent:

“We’ve been seein’ some platform bugs and don’t want ‘em munchin’ on your crops. So we’ve temporarily TURNED OFF WITHER for everybody!”

Source: Zynga – FarmVille

Currently there is no more information available on this issue, or even what the issue is surrounding. But having no wither on the weekend is not such a bad thing, right?

FarmVille has been recently plagued with technical issues.

  1. Most likely they are trying to fix a hack or block folks from doing something (that is normally when they screw things up) - since there have been several "unnamed app" posting throughout the feed today, I am guessing they are trying to block the snag bar!

  2. Well, they continue to introduce new stuff before ending ongoing programs, it simply is too much going on for their servers to handle.

  4. It would be nice if they would FIX all the crap before continuing to add to the problem by adding new things. I still cannot expand the cow barns -- I'm sure others probably can't either. Zynga, Take a break, get it running properly -- holy cow it's getting really frustrating rather than fun! Who cares about the non-whithering - I'd rather play like it is meant to play w/o getting so hacked off!

  5. Yes, remember the pregnant pig that showed up a couple of weeks ago, well at least it did on my farm.

  6. I think the release of the link for the gems did this, this is what happened when they released the wrangling horse and weren't ready for it, I didn't have problems until I accepted the gems that people sent
